7:28 Studios

The thing is......

That old trope about only doing one thing all your life? Well, that's not me. I've always done what I'm good at, but not necessarily all at the same time.

When Covid was still  only a nasty smell in the Wuhan exotic meats trade, my partner and I had just begun work on our first album. As the pandemic spread and we plunged headlong into lockdown, recording was forced out of the studio and into our kitchen, where to my surprise, I seemed to get the hang of Protools - something I'd always thought was the preserve of a specialised breed called studio engineers.

Long story short, we recorded an album and released it on the artist-controlled service bandcamp.com. Then, during the hiatus between lockdowns, as it didn't look like I was going to be able to photograph any architecture or do any gigs for a while it became clear that I needed a dedicated workspace, not only for my translation and copywriting work but also for my photography and music. I was lucky enough to be offered some amazing premises in a 1930s building with parquet floors and original windows that had been the main offices of an engineering works and 7:28 Studios became a reality.

But 7:28 is more than a recording studio. It's also the base for Wordswork+: translation, copywriting and other language services and Imageswork+ photography.

So, Music - Words - Pictures.... that's it.

And why 7:28? Well, it sounds cooler than it really is. For a period of time we always seemed to wake up at 7:28 in the morning.

Me: What time is it?

Her: 7:28

Me: Of course. it is.

Now take a dive in and see what we can do for you.
